The vast majority of websites today are created using WordPress, which is a free, open-source online website builder. Okay, it's true: when I say 'free' it's both a truth and a lie, but more on that later in the article.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

But let's talk about the topic that interests you: how to get to the site easily and quickly via WordPress? In short: very difficult, but in detail:<\/span><\/p>\n

The first and most important thing you need is the vision of the site. What do you need a website for, what is its content, what information should it contain and what is its purpose. After you have figured out the main purpose of your new site, you need a design. Do not start creating a WordPress site without a design - it will take you much more time and the end result will be worse than if you had created the design first. You can do the design itself with a regular pencil on classic A4 paper or use one of the tools (Photoshop, Figma - which is becoming more and more popular for designing, or some third-party program...).<\/span>
\n So, you have a vision, you have a design - I'm moving on! I'll let you in on a little secret - immediately buy hosting and a domain on which you will run your site. Of course, you also have free hosting + domains here, but keep in mind that they must have MySQL database support, PHP 7.2 (or a higher version), and HTTPS support. Plus, free hosting is usually slower, less reliable and\/or with advertisements on your future site - therefore, my sincere recommendation: lease some hosting, at least for a year; your life will be much easier.<\/span>
\n But why did I even recommend you to get hosting right away? You've probably heard that you can run your WP site locally, on your computer. That's true, but once you've created it, you need to move it to your online hosting so that other people can visit it. And believe me, from personal experience \u2013 moving a WP site is a tedious, time-consuming and difficult job; especially if your site is large. Without going into details, the MySQL database itself is difficult to transfer if you are just getting into WP waters; you have to manually change the links so that they no longer look at your local host on the computer, but at the online links of the leased hosting where your site will be. Save yourself time and nerves, rent a host immediately after the design.<\/span>
\n Okay, we have the vision of the site, we have the design and we have the hosting. From the official WP site (www.wordpress.org<\/a>) download the latest version of WP, which you unzip and upload to your hosting. We're not going to talk about uploading now, if you don't know how to upload, I'll just recommend the FileZilla program or one of the many online guides for the program (maybe even your new hosting has a guide for uploading files to it). Then open the control panel of your hosting and create a MySQL database (I can't help you here because it depends on the hosting, what kind of interface it has and how databases are created). Then open the link of your site in the browser and, if you have correctly uploaded the stuff from the wordpress.zip file you downloaded from the WordPress site, the link will ask you to start the installation. This is an easy process because it only asks you for the identity of your site and your MySQL data (which you created a few minutes ago via the control panel).<\/span>
\n And after installation, log in to the WordPress control panel (located at www.va\u0161astranica.com\/wp-admin<\/a><\u2014 for example) and start editing your page according to the planned design. Eh, now here comes the fact that wordpress is not really free - but only if you want a quality and good site. The themes are paid for, the tools you use are also paid for (specifically AWESOME tool: DIVI 3.0\u2026). You can find free stuff, but it's free for a reason - stripped down versions of paid tools; or have advertisements; they perform worse; bad looking themes... Again, from experience, it is better to buy the right theme, the right tools and save yourself nerves and time.<\/span><\/p>\n

I made a little announcement so we'll jump to conclusion<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n

WordPress is an amazing site builder. Powerful and quite easy to understand. BUT (be careful, 'but' is in capital letters) save yourself some space for getting annoyed. Even if you are an expert in WordPress, there will always be something that doesn't work, and logically it should work and it worked before. There will be problems and Google will be your best friend in the project of creating a WP site. Not only that, it will take time, a lot of time - even if the site seems simple. Plus, your design and the site you're working on in WP may not look the same, or even similar. You will have to change things, adapt, see what WP can and can't do. I don't want to scare you (I would recommend WP to everyone), but creating a WordPress site will take time, it will be annoying, it will change...<\/span>

Velika ve\u0107ina dana\u0161njih stranica je kreirana preko WordPressa, \u0161to je besplatni online alat za kreiranje stranica otvorenog koda. Okej, istina: kada ka\u017eem ‘besplatni’ to je u jednu ruku i istina i la\u017e, ali o tome kasnije u \u010dlanku. No, idemo o temi koja Vas zanima: kako do\u0107i lako i brzo do stranice preko WordPressa? Ukratko: vrlo te\u0161ko, ali detaljno: Prvo i najva\u017enije \u0161to Vam treba je vizija stranice. Za \u0161to Vam treba web stranica, koji je sadr\u017eaj na njoj, koje informacije treba sadr\u017eavati \u00a0i koja je svrha iste. Nakon \u0161to ste smislili glavnu svrhu svoje nove stranice, treba Vam dizajn. Bez dizajna nikako nemojte kretati u izradu WordPress stranice \u2013 trebat \u0107e Vam puno vi\u0161e vremena i krajnji rezultat \u0107e biti lo\u0161iji nego da ste prvo napravili dizajn. Sam dizajn mo\u017eete raditi obi\u010dnom olovkom na klasi\u010dnom A4 papiru \u00a0ili koristiti neki od alata (Photoshop, Figma \u2013 koja postaje sve popularnija za dizajniranje, ili neki tre\u0107i program\u2026). Zna\u010di, imate viziju, imate dizajn \u2013 idem dalje! Odat \u0107u Vam malu tajnu \u2013 odmah si otkupite hosting i domenu na kojoj \u0107ete raditi svoju stranicu. Naravno i ovdje imate besplatnih hostinga + domena, ali imajte na umu da moraju imati podr\u0161ku za MySQL data bazu, PHP 7.2 (ili ve\u0107u verziju), te HTTPS podr\u0161ku. Plus, besplatni hosting Vam obi\u010dno bude sporiji, manje pouzdan i\/ili uz reklame na Va\u0161oj budu\u0107oj stranici \u2013 stoga, moja iskrena preporuka: zakupite si neki hosting, barem na godinu dana; \u017eivot \u0107e Vam biti puno lak\u0161i. Nego, za\u0161to sam Vam uop\u0107e preporu\u010dio da si odmah nabavite hosting? Vjerojatno Ste \u010duli da svoju WP stranicu mo\u017eete raditi lokalno, na svom ra\u010dunalu. To je istina, ali nakon \u0161to je napravite morate je preseliti na svoj online hosting tako da je drugi ljudi mogu posjetiti. A vjerujte mi, iz osobnog iskustva \u2013 selidba WP stranice je mu\u010dan, dugotrajan i te\u017eak posao; pogotovo ako Vam je stranica velika. Da ne idem u detalje, samu MySQL bazu je te\u0161ko prebaciti ako se tek bacate u WP vode; morate ru\u010dno mijenjati linkove tako da oni vi\u0161e ne gledaju na Va\u0161 lokalni host na ra\u010dunalu, nego na online linkove zakupljenog hostinga gdje \u0107e Vam biti stranica. U\u0161tedite si vrijeme i \u017eivce, nakon dizajna si odmah zakupite host. Okej, imamo viziju stranice, imamo dizajn i imamo hosting. Sa slu\u017ebene WP stranice (www.wordpress.org) si skinite najnoviju verziju WP-a koju odzipate i uploadate na svoj hosting. Ne\u0107emo sada o uploadu, ako ne znate uploadati samo \u0107u preporu\u010diti FileZilla program ili neki od brojnih online vodi\u010da za program (mo\u017eda \u010dak i Va\u0161 novi hosting ima vodi\u010d za upload datoteka na njega). Zatim otvorite control panel svog hosting te \u00a0napravite \u00a0MySQL bazu (ovdje Vam i ne mogu pomo\u0107i jer Vam ovisi o hostingu kakvo su\u010delje ima i kako se kreiraju baze). Zatim otvorite link svoje stranice u browseru i, ako ste ispravno uploadali stvari iz wordpress.zip datoteke koju ste skinuli sa WordPress stranice, link \u0107e Vas pitati da zapo\u010dnete instalaciju. Ovo je lagan proces jer Vas samo pita za identitet Va\u0161 stranice i koji su Vam MySQL podatci (koje ste prije par minuta kreirali preko control panela). I nakon instalacije se ulogirajte u control panel WordPressa (koje se nalazi na www.va\u0161astranica.com\/wp-admin<— na primjer) i po\u010dnite si ure\u0111ivati stranicu prema zacrtanom dizajnu. Eh, sada ovdje u pri\u010du dolazi \u010dinjenica da wordpress i nije ba\u0161 besplatan \u2013 ali to samo ako \u017eelite kvalitetnu i dobru stranicu. Teme se pla\u0107aju, alati koje koristite se isto pla\u0107aju (konkretno ODLI\u010cAN alat: DIVI 3.0\u2026). Mo\u017eete na\u0107i besplatne stvari, ali su besplatne sa razlogom \u2013 ogoli\u0107ene verzije alata koji se pla\u0107aju; ili imaju reklame; lo\u0161ije rade; lo\u0161e izgledaju teme\u2026 Opet, iz iskustva, bolje je kupiti pravu temu, prave alate i u\u0161tedjeti si \u017eivce i vrijeme.   Malo sam se raspisao pa \u0107emo sko\u010diti na zaklju\u010dak: WordPress je nevjerojatan alat za pravljenje stranica. Mo\u0107an i dosta lagan za shvatiti. ALI (pazite, ‘ali’ je velikim slovima) sa\u010duvajte si prostora za nerviranje. \u010cak i ako ste stru\u010dnjak u WordPressu uvijek \u0107e se na\u0107i ne\u0161to \u0161to ne radi, a logi\u010dno treba raditi i prije je radilo. Problema \u0107e biti i Google \u0107e biti Va\u0161 najbolji prijatelj u projektu kreiranja WP stranice. Ne samo to, trebat \u0107e Vam vremena, trebat \u0107e Vam puuuuno vremena \u2013 \u010dak i ako se stranica \u010dini jednostavnom. Plus, Va\u0161 dizajn i stranica koju radite u WP-u mo\u017eda ne\u0107e izgledati jednako, ili \u010dak niti sli\u010diti. Morat \u0107ete mijenjati stvari, prilago\u0111avati se, vidjeti \u0161to WP mo\u017ee, a \u0161to ne mo\u017ee. Ne \u017eelim Vas prepla\u0161iti (WP bih svima preporu\u010dio), ali WordPress kreiranje stranice \u0107e trajati, \u0107e \u017eivcirati, \u0107e se mijenjati\u2026 Naravno, ako \u017eelite JO\u0160 lak\u0161e rje\u0161enje, mi smo uvijek tu.
